The Show

I am going to get slaughtered if either of my sisters see this post but I just thought it was too cute!

Aaah yes. Our family is indeed reunited and we look quite normal hor?
Well then, take a look at the many faces of my family:

Me and my elder sister have taken to making faces across the dinner table lately. And it is usually instigated by me. I'll make a face at her and she'll make one back at me.
Don't think she would be caught dead making faces at anybody else though! :P
So this is her face caught on camera!
And then I started the guppie mouth, so BEHOLD!!!

Guppie number one.

Guppie number two! LOL.

Guppie number three is yours truly.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand....

Guppie number four!
My mom refused to let her guppie face be caught on camera so no cute pictures of her guppie face. :(
She cannot do the proper guppie face (the one where you have to suck in your cheeks like my second sis punya picture) so I sometimes tease her for it which is probably why she wouldn't do the guppie face. Oh well!

And another one of my dad's priceless expressions:

No he was not sneezing. He was trying to blow out the candles. =.=
So there you have it! My crazy little family. ;)

Ocean Avenue

"I think everyday is made up of tiny little tests. Some are tests of character. Some are tests of fortitude. Others are tests of friendship. And if you're lucky, when it really matters, you'll pass with flying colours."
- Scrubs
I want to pass the test of friendship with flying colours.
So many have left Malaysia in the pursuit of education this year.
What used to be gatherings with whole groups of people have steadily become just a handful.
And there are many more yet to leave, more farewells and goodbyes and more friends scattered all around the globe.
Firstly, there was Jon's farewell.

I've known Jon since Form 1. And even though we weren't super duper close, I think we will always have this special bond because of Kuen Cheng and ECC. And that goes for all the members of the 'English Group'- Gill, Adele, Joo Ling too!

I thank God you're still here Dele. You make up the core of my support system!

And I'm still waiting for Jon to come back to go for Delicious again! She is my Delicious kaki, along with Adele Wong of course.

And so, this was the first farewell of the year.

Mel's Farewell

Part of the ssaps.
Mel's farewell hit me much closer to the heart because practically for the whole of last year, I've been seeing her almost everyday. True, all of us ssaps only met last year in college. But I think I can safely say that we formed a strong bond of sisterhood together.

All the lunches we had during college, the shopping trips and movie excursions, the ridiculously many-peopled MSN convos, the lepak-ing and of course, the memorable, awesomely insane and fun escapade to Langkawi.
And of course, carpooling with Mel to and fro college as well as hanging out at each other's houses since we live so close to one another.
There's so much that I sorely miss!
Really, everything seems so incomplete whenever Kit Mun and I go out because you're not there!

And then it was Andrea's turn.

(I couldn't attend Ann's farewell at her house so I'll just use pictures from Teik Chi's open house/b'day. =/)
And the shopping buddy goes down by another one. Sigh.

At least, Mel and Ann are together in Perth so we're not completely scattered and apart! :P

And after that, Joyce's farewell.
Aaaand there goes another college friend.

Kia Shen's farewell

The first to leave among my close primary schoolmates.
He made a joke that it's okay that he left because there's still his twin in Malaysia so we're gonna be seeing him anyway! Lol. XD
But still, it's not the same.

The most recent one- Nicole's farewell
I was really sad to see her go. That's less one person to discuss assignments with in Monash and chillax + gossip with (like we do after Accounts lecture). Less one person to stress together when exams roll around and less one perso to hang out with when holidays come.

And not to forget, less one super fun, witty, quirky and dynamic friend here in Malaysia.

I mean sure, some of them might come back for holidays (like Kia Shen now) but most of them didn't and I miss them so much!!
Sure, there are many other friends in KL but really, things just aren't the same without them here.

And I guess, what I wanted to say is that, I may not talk to you guys very often on MSN. But I do love and miss you guys a lot and I really want to keep in touch. And you are all very special to me.
And while I'm on the topic of friendship, I think the best kind of friendship is the kind where you can just pick up and continue from wherever you left off despite not having to meet up regularly.
It just proves that you really do click and enjoy spending time together and that your friendship wasn't just out of convenience at the time because you see each other everyday.
So cheers to that kind of friendship which I know I have with all of you. :)
Sometimes I find it scary how quickly time has passed. It's the middle of the year now. If everything goes according to plan, I myself only have half a year left in KL before I zoom over to Aussieland as well.
And when that time comes, my support system will truly crumble and that will be the ultimate test of independence.
It's so bittersweet.
Thinking about that makes me feel so elated and excited but yet so sad.
I will miss so much about KL, my family and my friends.
Oh well, we'll save that for later! ;)
Currently craving for- Guitar Hero
I miss Guitar Hero! Whose house got? I want to go and play!!!

The Circle Has No Beginning

There's just something about staying in nice hotels that gets me really excited and happy.
Maybe it's because I associate staying in hotels with holidays and who doesn't love holidays right?
Anyway, my dad had this free night's stay at Sheraton Imperial in KL which was expiring soon so my sisters and I went to make use of it.
It was a super last minute plan but I'm glad we went for what I call our 'mini escapade'. ;)
We checked into the hotel pretty late- around 6-ish I would say.
Went for dinner at Celestial Court, Sheraton's Chinese restaurant since we had a RM75 voucher that was expiring soon also.
And that's my smart father who totally forgot all about the vouchers until they were about to expire. =.='''

Yesh, I know my roots are showing. Please ignore it. Can't be arsed to dye my hair again since it is so damaged liao. =.=

Celestial Court was having this interesting promotion thingy where dinner is an all you can eat thingy for RM88 per person. Basically, you just order whatever you want from the menu and they serve it to you in small portions. All of us thought that was pretty cool since Chinese restaurants rarely ever do that.
As you can see, we went a little overboard trying to sample everything and ended up having a mini feast. I wouldn't say the food was exceptional though, it was pretty standard Chinese restaurant food and I guess I expected more from a 5 star hotel's Chinese restaurant.
However, the ambience was really nice larh.
I guess these kind of places, you're really paying more for the service and the ambience more than the food.

The room we stayed in. It was surpringly big!
Somehow, I don't seem to associate Sheraton with the likes of other 5 star hotels like Shangri-la and Westin which made me mildly surprised (in a good way) about the room.
The truth is, Sheraton is under the same group (Starwood) which owns Le Meridien, Westin, St. Regis and other luxurious hotels which makes it every bit as awesome as the others.
Since I didn't think Sheraton was up to par with the other hotels I mentioned, I was totally shocked to find out that a normal room costs around RM500 a night which is about the same as Shangri-la. But Sheraton's rooms are wayyy bigger!

However, the only complaint I have about Sheraton's rooms is that the night curtain (the orange one) cannot fully be drawn! It can only be drawn up to THAT much (refer to picture above) because get this, the curtain track ends right there! Can you say no privacy?
Granted we were on the 22nd floor and it is unlikely that anyone will be able to look in since there are no buildings directly in front of the window, but still!
Plus as we all know, the day curtains are pretty useless coz they become see-through at night and still let the sunlight in during the morning.

My sister wondered what would happen if a couple decided to have sex with the lights on in the hotel room and someone in one of the smaller buildings had a binoculars/ telescope.
I told her it would be highly unlikely that someone who owns a binoculars or a telescope would be looking in the direction of a building but if they did, they'd get a free show lorh.

Mmmm. Yummy bed. Bed was super huge and comfy. The kind where you sink into and never want to get up. And it seemed bigger than the usual king size beds, super king maybe?

However the pillows were a bit too lumpy and offered very little support. I needed all three of the pillows stacked together to be able to sleep. =.=
The most awesome, best-est ever hotel pillows are still Shangri-la's. Just the right amount of feathery softness and support. When me and my sisters got a free stay last year, we were so in love with the pillows we were reluctant to say goodbye and leave it behind. =(

The hotel room had their own DVD player. Mind you this was only Sheraton's normal hotel room and they had a DVD player! Major plus point. Other hotels like Shangri-la only have DVD players in their suites which me and my sisters totally did not take advantage of since we didn't bring any with us at that time.

This time, we came fully prepared! Brought out laptops to watch DVDs but since they had DVD player, watched it on the TV instead!

The bathroom. Pretty standard I would say.

After dinner, we took a walk on Asian Heritage Row since it was just beside Sheraton. It was still early so there wasn't a lot of people yet.
FYI: If you ever go to The Loft or Bar Savanh, park at Sheraton and walk over coz it's only RM8 whereas jockey parking at Asian Heritage Row costs RM10.
Sister wanted to go salsa dancing so went back up and changed. I need to stop wearing my RM15 Sungei Wang purple dress mian. I wear it wayyyy to often. But I can't help it! It's one of my all time favourite dresses not only because it's cheap, but the material is surprisingly good and the shape is super flattering. ^_^

Went to Federal's Salsa Havana. They ran out of Baileys so I had Kahlua with milk instead. Supremely yummylicious but so so deceiving coz it tastes like chocolate/coffee milkshake instead of alcohol. =P
Anyway, by the time we went back to the hotel again it was 3-ish in the morning. Decided to make full use of the facilities so we watched a DVD- The Jane Austen Book Club.
The movie exceeded expections. It was witty yet thought provoking.
Definitely a must watch.
By the time we finished watching the movie, it was 5.30am. Sister crashed while I read a little Harry Potter (I know what you're thinking, AGAIN? Sue me, I'm a Harry Potter fan and the movie is coming out soon so must read the book again. =P) And finally went to sleep when it was almost 6 in the morning. I actually contemplated staying up and watching the sun rise since it would've been pretty spectacular with the view we had but decided against it in the end.
The parents were coming for lunch the next day (or the same day rather?) and I didn't want to look like a zombie.

And so our mini escapade ended. Had dim sum at Golden Dragonboat for lunch before heading back. Managed to get free white wine and a supremely yummylicious chocolate cake from Sheraton first though! =)
I guess what I really love about staying in hotels is that it makes you forget about everything for awhile and just enjoy the moment. Even though we didn't even leave KL (in fact we were right in the heart of it), it still felt so refreshing to just be away from home for awhile and bask in the luxuries of staying in a hotel. And I really did come back feeling reenergized as if I really was on a holiday. ;)
So if you ever want a mini escapade just to get away for a little while without actually getting away, just book yourself into a nice hotel and there you have it! Your very own mini holiday!
On another note, I'm currently enjoying my month long semester break now. It feels REALLY good not to have to worry about assignments and exams and feeling guilty for not keeping up with my reading. Also managed to catch up with quite a few people which was really good. I'm loving waking up at 11 every morning and watching MTV or some other television program til noon and just lazing around doing nothing, spending some time just thinking. I haven't watched television in goodness knows how long it actually feels like a luxury to be able to do that and just sit and do nothing but think for a bit.

So there you have it, a little update on my life at the moment. I still have a lot of backlogged posts but I figured I'd post something recent and up to date first.
I'm craving for another mini escapade larh. Anybody wanna bring me? =P

Am I at rock bottom yet?

I swear it Murphy's Law at work- Anything that can possibly go wrong, does.

Or even better, it's Finagle's Law- Anything that can go wrong will, at the worst possible moment.

It started last night. I fetched my sister to her apartment coz she had a really bad bout of food poisoning to see her Aussie friend who was staying there to bring him food coz he also had food poisoning. On the way out, while I was manoeuvring through a tight spot in the parking lot (a spot which I dread to go through coz there's super little space and you have to be very careful about the edges of your car coz it's very close to the wall) I bumped the left side of my car into the wall. Great. The one thing that I TOLD myself to be careful of, I did it anyway. So the left side of my little tortoise just above the hind wheel has lovely scratches which streaks of white paint to complement it and a nice little dent to boot. That was the first time that I, myself caused damaged to my tortoise after driving it for what, 10 months now? Sure, I've been in accidents but that was due to other people's carelessness, they were in the wrong and crashed into me. This is the first time that it's my own fault, my own carelessness, stupidity and bad judgement that caused the damage. When I first started driving, I swore to myself I wouldn't be like those bimbotic girl drivers who really cannot drive or park and shouldn't be on the road because they give us girls a bad name. (Like this super smart girl that wanted to reverse but instead put her gear into drive and stepped really hard on the accelerator and vroom-ed across the kerb separating the rows of parking spaces in the Monash carpark. Needless to say her Kembara was suspended since she couldn't go back or forth after that. Funniest sight ever. I'm mean, I know.) But now lookie lookie here, I go and do some equally bimbotic thing like not know how to turn a damn corner. Gah.

Okay, scratched the car and dented it, nevermind. At least the rims are okay and the back door can still close properly. Thought the next morning could try and ask my mom to see if polishing the car (to get some of the scratches away) so that it wouldn't look bad before telling my dad about it. Otherwise, he'll just go beserk. He loves cars more than us I would say. So happened he decided to wake up early today when he NEVER wakes up early unless he has an early meeting which he didn't. I practically gobbled my breakfast and tried to make a quick escape before he saw the car but to no avail, he saw it when I was reversing to go out. So yesh, his face was frowning all the way. I haven't gotten my lecture yet because he's not back from work but seriously, I dread dinner time.

So nevermind, disaster temporarily averted though I'd get it when I got back from uni. Got to uni, Dr. Yeoh, my communications lecture was giving us back assignment 2. Dahlah very kan cheong maximum coz all of us did super last minute work for assignment 2 coz we had two assignments due on the same day and we didn't really understand the topic. Was waiting for my name to be called so I could go and get it but he never called my name. Nevermind, maybe I just didn't hear it kan? So after class went to look for him. Once he saw me, he said: "I didn't receive your assignment." That's when the 'OMG are you fucking serious face' came in. Because I swear I dropped the assignment in the correct box at the same time as I handed in my film assignment. And I've already gotten back my film assignment but my comm assignment is missing? What the eff?

Furthermore, he said he sent me an e-mail saying that he didn't receive my assignment. So I thought it was my own carelessness for not checking my mail otherwise I could've resubmitted it earlier or something. I went straight to the library, no computers available. More signs of things not going my way. Usually when I go to the library, I always manage to find an available computer, but not today. So went to the computer lab on level 5, hung around for 5 to 10 before getting an available computer. Checked my Monash mail and wala! Tak ada e-mail from him pun. Wanted to print some sample exam questions for Accounts. Printed the first set and wanted to print extra notes but some stupid guy started printing about 100+ pages of lecture slides. ONE SLIDE PER PAGE okay? Can you imagine how long that took? Talk about hogging the printer much? Nevermind, I waited. Finally, after like 20 minutes he finished but my papers didn't come out AND they had already minused my credit. Couldn't be bothered to wait longer coz I wanted to go and see Dr. Yeoh before he went for lunch.

So went to his office and told him that I didn't receive any e-mail from him. Then, he double checked his office but still no sign of my assignment. Seriously panic kao kao already now. Coz I submitted the original copy of the newspaper frontpage that I was analysing as the appendix. Now you tell me missing, where am I gonna find May 15th's frontpage of NST and The Sun to resubmit as my appendix? Had a panic session, Joyce said she might still have the newspapers at home coz she used the same day's newspapers as me but different articles. Panic alleviated for awhile.

Went for lunch in Pyramid with Kit Mun to cheer me up. Wanted to have Michelangelos coz of the yummylicious pasta. Forgot that school holidays had started so had to battle for a parking space. Walked all the way there from where we parked to find that it CLOSED DOWN. I swear, can I get any unluckier? Gah. So went to Wendy's to have lunch. Vented my frustrations to Kit Mun about how I was rushing to finish that missing assignment to print it out and hand it in on time. I remember I had to wake up extra early on that morning to finish it and even woke my sister up to ask her to help me cut out the newspapers articles coz I was rushing for time. That, and I had close to sleepless night before that, trying to finish up two assignments. So, lunch was okay. Finally something that went without more bad luck happening except that poor Kit Mun had to put up with me. Sorry kit mun! =(

Right after lunch, received an SMS from Joyce saying she sold all her newspapers already. So she doesn't have anything left. Texted Joanne asking her if she kept hers. She only had 8th and 9th of May's newspapers. All this happened in Accounts lecture mind you. Kit Mun was super nice and layan-ed me. She tried sms-ing her friends to see if they read NST or not but no luck. Everybody reads The Star, not NST. Then, finally found a person that reads NST- Jess. Still waiting to hear from her to see if she has 15th May's one. Hope restored for now.

Drove home without incident. Opened the gate, my dog shot straight out and practically galloped like a mad dog all around outside. More bad luck. It would probably take 3 elephants to pull him back into my garden. Couldn't be bothered anymore, just left him to his own devices. I think he just came back coz it started raining and he hates the rain.

So yesh, now I am waiting for Kit Mun and Jess to get back to me to see if they can get the frontpages for the The Sun and NST respectively. Please keep your fingers and toes crossed. I guess out of this whole ordeal, if I try to play Little Miss Optimistic, I should be grateful that:

1. I merely scratched and dented my car, which can be fixed (although it'll probably cost a few hundred bucks. =/) ; At least I didn't crash my car in a serious accident so I have that to be thankful for.

2. My 2000 word essay is safely saved in my laptop and pendrive so at least I don't have to redo it. If things were really bad, my laptop could have crashed and my pendrive could have been corrupted and I would have lost everything.

3. I have awesome friends who were worried for me and tried to help me out so I felt really blessed while having my little panic session in uni. Thank you Joanne, Kit Mun, Joyce, Jess, Justin and everyone else who tried to help. I appreciate it.

So yes. That's the bright side I s'pose. Anyway, I sincerely hope that I have hit rock bottom now. Because things can only get better after this right? Or this could just be the beginning and thing's could get a whole lot worse. Urgh.

Edit**

Kit Mun just called. Tak ada. I am screwed. Yep, things could just get a whole lot worse. Absolute-*tooting*-lutely wonderful.

Oh and my dad just came back. I forsee it's lecture time. =/
Edit**
I think I hit rock bottom just now liao. Managed to get my ex-colleague to scan me a copy of both NST and The Sun's front page. *phew!* Thank You So Much Astrid!
So crisis averted. Ah, I knew interning for a media company had it's perks! So things can only get better now right? ;)

Come What May

Last month we had a surprise early birthday celebration for Khai Yin in Pyramid. She was actually attending her graduation ceremony at Sunway Convention Centre and didn't suspect a thing! So everything went according to plan which was good. Or more or less according to plan. ^_^

We were waiting for her at Sakae Sushi under the pretence of having a small primary school gathering. So when her boyfriend showed up with an ice-cream cake, she was very shocked. All thanks to the amazing planning of the organizer- Ri Hao.

There. Yummylicious cake! And a very happy couple. ;)

Now, me, Kai Jie and Siok Yean had to go earlier because we had specific instructions by Ri Hao to go and buy KY's present. Since KY got a very er... interesting birthday present for Ri Hao last year, it was time for revenge in his case. (Read about it in my old blog --> sidebar) Besides, he managed to record her saying that she'd wear anything he bought her. So yeah. He was letting her listen to the evidence. Hehe.

Hoho. The present. She was a bit apprehensive after hearing the recorded convo. And yesh, we were using our chopsticks to eat ice-cream cake. Lack of better utensils. Plus Sakae Sushi staff are damn slow and blur. I am gonna offend a lot of people again but...I really don't like Sakae Sushi la. Sorry larh. Sushi Zan Mai is like 100 times better than Sakae Sushi in terms of food and service. But then again I just had Rakuzen yesterday so I might be a bit biased. The food there was insanely yummylicious. ;P

TA-DA! This was our hard work okay. We walked around Pyramid for close to 2 hours before finding this dress. Went into SO many shops and they didn't have anything suitable. Ri Hao wanted a super sexy dress that would grab attention and would be suitable for clubbing. You'd think that'd be easy to find right? WRONG. Even fail-safe Forever 21 where we gave Ka-Yee all those sexy clothing makeovers failed me that day!! Thank goodness Ms. Selfridge saved the day. *Phew!*

I swear, things always appear when you don't need them and when you do, they magically dissapear. Meh.

That was her, opening her present.

There we go! Sexayyy Khai Yin! She'd look even sexier without the tube. *grins*

The birthday girl and I.

Well, I hope she wears the dress! KY, do you hear me? Wear the dress!! Surprises are always so much fun! A bit stressful to plan but when you see the look the surprised person's face, instant rewards! On a sadder note, Ri Hao's going to Australia soon so we have one less crazily fun person in our group planning all these awesome gatherings and keeping our friendship stronger than ever. Sigh, I am gonna miss his sarcastic remarks during gatherings.
3 posts in a month. Definite improvement lehh. =P
Last watched movie- Revolutionary Road

I thought the ending was so ironic! As we all know, this is the first movie that Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet star in together since Titanic. And in Titanic, Leo dies and Kate lives; in this movie, Kate dies and Leo lives. Ironic kan? That aside, their acting was superb and I guess this movie says a lot about life, relationships, marriage and ambitions- finding out what you really want in life. I've always like Leo coz I think he's a great actor, but after watching this and The Reader, I think I'm adding Kate Winslet into my favourite actress list too. ;)
On another note, since we're talking about birthdays:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICOLE!!!
Another one that will be leaving soon. I'm gonna miss you larh woman. =(

Happily Ever After

Girls have been indoctrinated by society believe that everyone will eventually have their happily ever after and that we should all wait for our Prince Charming to come and sweep us off our feet and ride off into the sunset . It’s incorporated into every Disney cartoon we’ve been made to watch since we can remember; every fairytale that’s been told to us as bedtime stories since we were young. And even now, as cynical as we may be, as realistic we have become, some small part of us still believes and hopes that we will be swept off our feet by The One. That’s right, the belief that somewhere out there, there’s this perfect guy for us all. And of course, he is the one that will give us our happily ever after through marriage. It is every girl’s dream- that big, white wedding.

But what happens after? What happens after the happily ever after? When things start to fall into a routine, when problems start to arise, when the person who we thought would give us that happy ending changes. Will love still prevail then?

I find too many women settle. They settle for whatever they have at the time due to various reasons. Pressure would one of the main reasons I think. When all your friends are off getting married and starting to have babies, you’d feel so left out. It may sound stupid now, but really the pressure is quite intense. When everyone is asking you whether or not you’re getting married soon and your own biological clock is ticking, you settle. Fear is another one. What if you break up with him now but can’t find another boyfriend after? Better to just continue. If it ain’t broken, why fix it right? Even if you don’t feel the sparks anymore, even if you realize that ultimately you and him seem better off as friends than lovers.

And that’s the root of most marital problems I think. That, and the fact that everyone takes forgranted of their other half. They forget that it’s the little things that matter. The simple I Love You-s, the habitual hugs and kisses that lets your partner know how much you appreciate them. Why do all these seem so common when people are dating, yet they dwindle off when people are married? The passion, the fire, where has it all gone?

And so, women turn a blind eye to their cheating husbands loveless marriages. Out of duty as a wife and mostly to their children. Especially in Asian societies. Ignorance is bliss but is feigned ignorance the same? I have seen so many, too many in fact, marriages that are not based on love anymore but a sense of duty to the kids. And they think the kids will sense that nothing is wrong. Oh, how naïve all these people are!

And of course, money. The main thing that holds most marriages together. The root of all evil indeed but all the same, it makes the world go round and people happy.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, in the future when we contemplate whether or not to say ‘I Do’, remember the consequences of those two words. Remember that this is the rest of your life. Messy divorces not factored in of course. Remember that you should be able to accept you partner for who they are and love them unconditionally. Remember that when you’re old and grey, you actually want someone that you’d be able to talk to. Remember that this arduous journey called life is meaningless unless we have someone to share it with. And make sure, that someone is the one you’re getting married to. Otherwise, it is rather pointless isn’t it?

So this is my note to my future self. My little reminder on my own happily ever after which is yet to come if I am blessed enough to enjoy one. On my last outing with Wee, she reminded me that I should find someone that would match my awesomeness, and settle for nothing less. Well, I fully agree. Let that be a reminder for every girl out there: You are awesome, and the person you’re with should totally appreciate your awesome-ness. Otherwise, he’s just not worth your time. He should accept you for who you are and you should never be belittled or made to feel inferior. It is my belief that for marriage to work and love to prevail, you should see each other as equals. Maybe not physically, but intellectually and emotionally.

Anyway, I attended two weddings in December last year. I sincerely hope that they find their happily ever after-s.

Staphanie and Jason's wedding

This was my first proper church wedding that I attended.

The church was pretty big and air-conditioned. Very cool.

Adorable flower girls. However, one of them got scared while walking down the aisle and started crying. The other had to pull her along. Awww.

My sister was the maid of honour. She looks lovely doesn't she? Her best friend was the bride.
Sorry for the poor quality pictures. I was still using my Casio at the time.

The pastor gave this speech that I totally did not agree with- about how women should submit to men and respect them. That respect comes before love and many other appaling things. But even worse was the people there actually AGREED with him and his views on women and were nodding their heads. Sigh, but I shall not mention it here lah. It is supposed to be a happy occassion after all.

Her dress with the super long train. I'm telling you guys now larh, if you want me to be one of your bridesmaids, please don't wear dresses with long trains however princessessy and fairytale esque it is. I don't want to spend every 5 minutes adjusting your train and making sure no one steps on it, including the groom. I am offending a lot of people by saying this hor? I forsee my name being cut off from the bidesmaids list liao but nevermind, I will still be happy to attend as a guest. ;)

The sisters.

Went to Coffe Bean after that to have a drink and get breakfast. Yummylicious-ness!

Pei Tze and Denzil's wedding

My cousin sister got married. :)

At the church waiting for the ceremony to start.

My cousin Michelle, who was the bridesmaid, and I at Jarrod & Rowlins for the wedding lunch.
Food was good!

Pre-dinner drinks before the wedding dinner.

And this was during the wedding dinner.

I am FINALLY done with all my assignments for the semester. It has been really a really hectic one I must say. Now I have to prepare for finals which are looming. Good Luck to everyone okay?

Currently reading- Grass For His Pillow by Lian Hern

This is the second book in the Tales of the Otori series. My father's business friend's wife (complex eh?) gave me the complete set as a gift after she found out I liked reading. So generous of her. She insisted that this series was one of her personal favourites because it was a really good read and I must say I agree with her. Check it out if you have the time. Highly recommended. Sigh, and this is what I've been doing. Reading storybooks from morning till night when I should be studying like Kit Mun. I just don't learn do I? I can't help it lorh, once I start reading, I cannot put the book down wan. To the extent that my mom had to confisticate my storybooks when exams rolled around when I was younger. It runs in the family larh. My sister and I are all bookworms at heart.
Last watched movies- The Host & The Fast and The Furious 4
The former because I had to watch it for Film Studies since one of the exam questions will be based on that. I was a little apprehensive at first since it was labelled horror and we all know how much I love horror films. But it turned out to be not scary but filled with lots of ideologies. I still find it amazing how a seemingly B grade Korean monster movie turned out to have awesome character development and many, many ideologies embedded within it which made it kind of interesting really. Now I understand why it won so many awards.
The latter I watched it again because I like the Fast and Furious series (I'm a sucker for fast cars, sue me) plus I had to supervise some guys who were doing some renovation work and had nothing to do all by myself. Adele came and teman-ed me after that for which I am grateful! Thank you darling Adele!
I really need to start studying larh. Make me feel guilty and yell and at me to study when you guys see me online. Maybe that'll help. Heh. ;P
Toodles for now.
Eh wait, TWO posts in a month leh. Got improvement liao. ^_^
